This is my sketch for the 
project of the fairy tale, Rapunzel. I choose to portray a "darker" theme for the fairy tale, but wanted still to add a sense of mystery and hope.
In Rapunzel, a beautiful girl is locked up in a tower by a witch who stole her from her parents. One day, a prince is passing by and the two begin to fall in love. The witch finds out, cuts her hair, throws her out, and tricks the prince. Later however, the prince and Rapunzel find their way back to each other.

Oh, the sketch is terrific. Now, I wanna see the final piece. You've made me feel sorry for her isolation. I like the posture, the hand that wants something but can't grab it. Nice.
